One of the custom services offered by SRM Performance Products is the installation of our custom muzzle brakes. But what are muzzle brakes exactly? Muzzle brakes are devices that attach to the end of a rifle barrel to reduce recoil and muzzle rise. They work by redirecting some of the gases produced when a bullet is fired, which reduces the amount of force that is transferred back to the shooter. By reducing recoil, muzzle brakes improve shot accuracy and reduce fatigue. Be mindful that muzzle brakes also redirect sound, which can make each shot a great deal louder. Always use hearing protection when operating a firearm with a muzzle brake attached.
